Sherpa Coral Glass Beads from Nepal

An antique strand of Sherpa "Coral" glass beads, made to imitate rare red coral.  Most are Rounds with flat ends in shape and some barrel shapes with a few variants (see photo). There Smooth with some pitting, beads average 7mm x 12mm (smallest) to 15mm x 20mm (the largest) with 3-4.5mm hole for stringing.  From the Sherpa people who inhabit the region around the Himalayan mountain range.  From the early 1900s.  Some beads are chipped or dirty from what used to be daily prayer use.  24" strand, 52 beads.
