Rare & Ancient Carnelian Etched Bead

NEW STOCK! Ancient striped 15mm long x 5mm diameter (with a 1mm hole) white-etched carnelian bead originally found in Tello, ancient Girsu (the Indus Valley) from the middle of the third millennium BC. The etching is from the result of painting the carnelian with a mixture of potash and white lead and then fired. During the time of their manufacture there existed an ancient maritime trade network between ancient Mesopotamian and Harappan cultures.

Old Nickle Silver Afghan "Bellydancer" Pendant

Here is a flashy pendant that was originally part of larger necklace (a set of five), but has been recently separated. It is made of nickle silver with a nice brass wash, and punched /stamped detail worked. Approx 4.5" in diameter with 25 jangly dangles, three 8mm loops, four large cut-glass "stones" (9mm diameter) and three smaller ones (4mm diameter). This would make a cool centerpiece for any belly dancer or shimmy costume.
