17.50" strand of small 3mm x 4mm to 4mm x 12mm ancient glass beads from Afghanistan. Created over 2,000 years ago during the Roman Period, these Afghan beads are a mixture of beige and amber glass, cylindrical shaped, some with gold foil and some calcification.  Fairly fragile beads.

20" strand of ancient Afghan amber glass beads from the Roman period — over 2,000 years ago! These cylindrical glass beads mimic amber and range in size from 5mm x 3mm to 10mm in diameter x 8mm. Very cool. Four strands in stock, each with slightly different beads.

18" strand of ancient Roman period glass pieces cut and drilled as beads. Over 2000 years old from various excavations around Africa and Afghanistan. Pale greens with some yellowish/pinkish hues; each strand is unique ancient material, newly cut shapes. Wonderful as it is, or used in your own jewelry projects. Approximately 21 beads per strand; sizes range from very tiny 3mm x 4mm to the large centerpiece 21mm x 20mm x 7mm thick. Photo shows the variety of sizes, shapes, color, and degree of calcification, SOLD BY THE STRAND not as a pile of strands as shown in the photo. This ancient glass has calcification on it.

Gorgeous 14" strand of Old Roman Glass (2000+ years old!) material which has been made into small rondelles today. Has a focal pendant made from similar glass.  Pendants measure roughly 14 × 19mm, while the rondelles measure around 5mm diameter x 3mm thick x .7-1mm hole. The pendant on the strand is made of opaque or translucent green ir mottled green/brown glass; no two strands are alike so the pendant may not look like the one in the photo above.

Beautiful 20" strand of antique purple glass beads from Afghanistan.  Approximately 75-100 years old. Nice, semi-translucent, light & dark purple beads (with some variants – see photo); bead average 10mm x 5mm to 14mm x 10mm.

16" strand of newly fashioned beads made from old Roman glass excavated in Mali. Each re-cut bead is approx 18mm x 12mm x 1.5mm and has two holes drilled in it.  Old blue-green glass with calcification. Each strand is different.
