Amazonite is a somewhat rare green variety of microcline feldspar, and is very beautiful once cut and polished. While most Amazonite comes from Russia and parts of the Americas, our types were mined, in limited quantity, thousands of years ago in Africa.

Medium Old Amazonite Chunky Bead

Medium/small size and smooth amazonite bead from Mali; appears to be an old bead, but the date is uncertain. Very cool diamond shape, not unlike the Mauritanian amber beads. Photo shows the variation in size and color of this unusual type of bead. Average size is 30mm x 32mm x 15mm thick with holes drilled in two directions. SOLD SEPARATELY, not as pictured.
