Antique Coral
Coral is essentially comprised of organically produced calcium carbonate with traces of carotene. Natural coral colors range from white to red. Most coral is to be found in the Mediterranean and the Pacific where it grows in branches like trees. Some coral beads, both old and new, may be dyed as part of the bead making process.
