BACK IN STOCK! JUST IN! Charming 24" strand of 2000+ year old Roman glass beads. Awesome selection of white, grays, a rare yellow or green, and dark blue; all opaque with calcification on practically each bead. Each strand has a variety of bead shapes, sizes, and colors. They were excavated around Djenné (which is near Timbuktu) in the country of Mali. The average size for a beads is roughly 2-5mm long x 3-4mm in diameter, although each strand does have a few larger beads. PHOTO shows many strands twisted together, sold separately; roughly 200 BEADS PER STRAND.

Awesome blue and white glass beads with some additional colours in the mix (as well as an occasional Venetian bead for variety). Each strand has a variety of bead shapes, sizes, and colors. They were excavated around Djenné (which is near Timbuktu) in the country of Mali. There is some calcification on a few beads. African Traders call this "Dig Beads". They are ancient glass beads excavated in Djenne, Mali and date back to 1500-2000 years. Made in Italy, they followed the Sahara Trade Route to Mali. Colors can vary, but they are most commonly aqua blue; calcification on glass is common for beads of this age. 22" strand of graduated beads ranging from the very small (3×2mm ) to large (5mm × 11mm). All in great condition.

Ancient Beige Agate "Biscuits"

BACK IN STOCK!! African traders call this bead a "biscuit", and it is very organic in shape. It appears to be a stone simply drilled. These are ancient, found in Mali, and drilled conically so the hole is very small in the center. They vary widely in size, from approximately 10mm up to 35 mm, and are not uniformly shaped. Photo shows a pile of these wonderful beads in an attempt to show their variety; beads sold individually, not in a group. Ancient Carnelian and Jasper Stone Beads

29" strand of ancient stone beads with bow-drilled holes (conical shape from either side). Possibly from either Mali or India (and traded in Africa). Most are Carnelian with some red jasper mixed in. They are both flat thick and thin discs (some are faceted) and a few are squashed ovals; very rare. Beads average size range from 2mm x 10mm to 9mm x 14mm.
