Beads listed here are primarily sterling silver, with repousse work. Brass and copper are also found in some of these handmade beads, and often have inlayed crushed turquoise or coral. With current politics in Tibet, many craftspeople have been displaced and relocated to Nepal. The traditional metal techniques and styles of Tibet are found in Nepalese beads and components.

They are smooth with some pitting (and a few chips). Beads average 9mm x 11mm (smallest) to 15mm x 13mm (the largest) with 3mm hole for stringing.
