Rare Roman Glass Beads

16" strand of ancient Roman period glass that has been newly cut into thick disc shapes. Graduated strand of light to dark translucent green and blue glass… ultra cool for all sorts of projects. Sizes range from 12mm x 11mm x 5mm thick to 19mm x 17mm x 5mm thick. Original glass pieces are 1,000-2,000 years old recut and holes drilled thru each amazing bead.

Ancient Roman glass eye bead excavated in Djenne, Mali, Africa.  Approximately 2000 years old and traded along the Sahara trade route.  Bicone shaped 8.5mm long x 14mm diameter with 3mm hole;  dark blue glass with center stripe, white "eyes", and chipping and calcification.
