A fine 30" strand of 108 Tibetan Bondi Seed Prayer Bead; each bead approximately 8mm in diameter. Legend tells us that the Buddha Shakyamuni first found enlightenment underneath a Bodhi tree, hence the reason for their use. the number 108 is for each sin one must overcome to achieve enlightenment.

Buddha beads from the Hill Tribe of Thailand. Older stock from 1980s; beads measure 10mm in diameter on this 35" long strand. Buddha seated in yoga position. The gold leaf indicates they were blessed by a Buddhist monk. Very delicate.
