Welcome to Bead Paradise

Bead Paradise is best experienced in person! Our selection has been dazzling avid and experienced beaders for 20 years! We concentrate on rare, antique and ethnic things, as well as vintage glass beads, cabs, pendants and sew-ons. Our selections of all the mainstream and trendy beads and findings are also unparalleled!  The store is wheelchair accessible -- just ring the bell at the front of the store, and we'll bring a ramp out for you!

We have a new array of handmade matte finished stone beads in crackled crystal, flourite, apatite, opal, turquoise, serpentine, pipestone, and natural onyx. The smooth finish combines perfectly with antique silver and gold beads. We have a huge new selection of natural-dyed olivewood in various colors, shapes, and finishes. Also, some new etched agate beads in several shapes, sizes, and motifs made using the same process as the ancient carnelian beads from the 2000 BC Indus Valley, but beautifully made in contemporary motifs. Our selection of 18K and 22K gold beads is the best, including many antique gold pendants. We carry all the findings and some earwires with ruby, emerald, sapphire or diamond. We have raw diamond beads, and some various black diamond beads and briolettes. The list is endless!

Our web store focuses on the old and rare beads and components Ruth has collected over the past 25 years. These relics from the European, Asian, and African bead trade are increasingly difficult to find. Here you will see antique Czech (or Bohemia) cut and pressed glass, Venetian fancy lamp-wound beads, pre-1900 seed beads, and Dutch glass from the African bead trade.

We carry a variety unsurpassed by any other known business of rare coin-silver, brass, bronze, and copper beads and components from Yemen, India, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Niger, Ethiopia, Mauritania and Morocco. We have many traditional tribal body adornments from the Fulani, Tuareg, Berber, Baulle, Yoruba and Maasai tribes. We carry ancient stone beads excavated in Djenne, Mali, Nigeria, and the Indus Valley (Pakistan and India).

We offer design ideas and suggestions to help you on your path of creating new jewelry with antique and ancient beads. Search no further! We will add new items to our online store monthly, and will never stop searching for the most exquisite rare beads in the world. It is our passion and our pleasure to bring these precious beads and tribal jewelry to you!
